Install two supported browsers in the event that one cannot perform a particular task. Certain problems Internet Explorer (IE) users have reported with Vista may be resolved if Firefox is used instead. For example, audio files should be opened in Firefox, as IE will generate an error message.
In general, Firefox 3.0+ for Windows tends to be less problematic than IE for use with Pirates' VIEW Vista. (Firefox 3.5+ for Windows is not yet fully supported, but should be certified by the end of 2009.) To locate the most recent version of Firefox 3.0+ (Windows) for download, click here.
Windows:
Internet 6 and 7 are supported. Please note that IE 8 is NOT a supported browser.
Firefox 2 and 3 are supported. However, Firefox 3.5 is NOT a fully supported browser. Please note that when using Firefox 2, some users might not be able to use the HTML Editor in the Discussion Board or in other areas of Pirates' VIEW Vista. User will need to switch to IE 6 or 7 to use the HTML Editor or install Firefox 3.
