Turn Off Automatic Updates in Java

  1. Go to the Start menu and open the Control Panel.
     
  2. Double click on the Java icon to open the Java Control Panel:
     
  3. The Java Control Panel will open.  Click on the Update tab. 



    Deselect Check for Updates Automatically.  A Java Update Warning will appear. Click Never Check and click OK.
